Top 10 Recommendation
Comment by Ray Griffiths ( )(3/27/2014 6:29:41 AM) - Survival.

Comment by Jeff Brown UK(12/18/2013 10:22:47 AM) - Yes Helly, it's only a couple of miles from home.
Agreed Tims example is very good.

Comment by Helly (Helly and Graham Horrocks)(12/18/2013 7:41:25 AM) - Was this taken at Pennington Marshes? lovely little birds! I like tims example too.

Comment by Jeff Brown UK(12/16/2013 2:29:33 PM) - #3 joe bellantoni: Thanks Joe.

Comment by joe bellantoni(12/16/2013 12:15:47 PM) - again Tim shows you how you images can Really look...they can be extremely beautiful as you have the mechanics of the shot down pat.

Comment by joe bellantoni(12/16/2013 12:11:03 PM) - agree with Tim...if you are going to take the shot it should be presented properly to the colors of the birds...I understand it both ways but Tim's is far better for viewing.

Comment by Jeff Brown UK(12/15/2013 5:31:43 PM) - Thanks again Tim. I don't usually bother with that much post processing, but can definitely see the advantage in your examples.

Comment by TW_Bda (Tim White)(12/15/2013 5:25:08 PM) - Jeff, if you correct the colour balance and get rid of some background noise, the bird will stand out better.

Comment by Jeff Brown UK(12/14/2013 5:17:08 PM) - #1 TW_Bda(Tim White): Thanks Tim, that's very good. I only cropped, lightened and sharpened a little. Were you using PS or Elements?

Comment by TW_Bda (Tim White)(12/14/2013 3:03:01 PM) - Nice pose captured. Looks a bit blue and flat to me. I had a quick play.

Comment by Jeff Brown UK(12/8/2013 2:51:44 PM) - #1 Vadim Shirokov: They are flies hovering above a clump of bamboo.

Comment by Vadim Shirokov(12/8/2013 1:01:09 AM) - What is this? [^716;292;1] [^143;210;1] [^115;63;1]

Comment by Tim Pereira ( T-Bear)(11/27/2013 1:06:03 PM) - #3 Hania(Anna Franek): Nice job!

Comment by Hania (Anna Franek)(11/27/2013 1:02:07 PM) - Perhaps more blurred bg would help.

Comment by Tim Pereira ( T-Bear)(11/27/2013 12:01:10 PM) - First off, this needs to go[^359;55;1]. I'm not sure about the type of bottle but I will say, the flower needs to be more in focus and/or sharper, it's too soft for my taste. I would like this it that was the case.

Comment by incult (Marius Caragea)(11/27/2013 11:32:17 AM) - The BG doesn't work for me. I also don't know how the wine bottle helps the image?...

Comment by Jeff Brown UK(11/26/2013 11:09:21 AM) - But not 'cropped' enough. Have another go in a moment.

Comment by Jeff Brown UK(11/26/2013 11:02:06 AM) - Thanks Ray .... you are quite right.

Comment by Ray Griffiths ( )(11/26/2013 10:19:16 AM) - Nice depiction. I'd crop the sky, it does nothing for the image.

Comment by Ray Griffiths ( )(11/26/2013 8:24:34 AM) - That's one way to go fishing!

Comment by Jeff Brown UK(11/26/2013 8:07:14 AM) - No objections to the crop Bas. Thank you.
But I do like the colour green :-)

Comment by Jeff Brown UK(11/26/2013 5:09:14 AM) - #3 B2O: Your 'constructive' criteques are very much appreciated, not just by myself but, I'm sure, by almost everyone else.
Thank you.

Comment by B2O(11/26/2013 2:20:24 AM) - I have done my best and took some time to look at your pictures and be constructive. I believe that's what this site stands for.
And I do hope it will be appreciated.

Comment by rafal_antoniuk(11/25/2013 1:38:37 AM) - Little-bit noisy, but one from the series.

Comment by B2O(11/23/2013 11:52:33 AM) - This would have been the best out of three Jeff. Good details on the main subject. Watch out with Dark Halo around here[^150;125;1][^322;127;1][^289;286;1][^417;384;1] And light halo around here[^531;359;1][^575;370;1] Composition works very wel.

Comment by B2O(11/23/2013 11:50:11 AM) - Nice details Jeff! I suggest a crop of the area that is not so much excited.
