Comment by DAT (Davey Towers)(5/1/2015 2:59:29 AM) - I love black /white images and you have used that to create an amazing scene. Well done

Comment by grafistas(11/28/2014 2:54:23 AM) - Really great capture! Congrats!

Comment by Mark Vaintroub(6/22/2014 5:47:43 PM) - Impressive!

Comment by Koduck(3/23/2014 1:18:17 AM) - Great look, great contrast.

Comment by Helly (Helly and Graham Horrocks)(3/21/2014 4:34:42 AM) - I agree with Ray and like his crop suggestion. The light bulb doesnt look right but everyone is different

Comment by Koduck(3/19/2014 7:40:05 PM) - Very well seen, very well captured. I really like this a lot.

Comment by Reidar(3/18/2014 6:25:34 PM) - Agree with Ray

Comment by Jeanne Miller(3/18/2014 3:04:46 PM) - does the fact that she's looking away from the door add or subtract from the impact?

Comment by Ray Griffiths ( )(3/18/2014 12:19:03 PM) - This one is not really doing it for me, the light and rock seem unnecessary and unbalanced. I like the rock formations by themselves, see crop.

Comment by ORZECHOWSKI (. .)(3/18/2014 7:05:06 AM) - Great job, on the composition, the texture and tone values are what make the image work so well in my opinion. Congratulations!

Thanks a lot.
This building is one of the most photographed sites in Lisbon. It was a real challenge to make something looking at least decently original.

Comment by KenNelson(3/17/2014 2:33:31 PM) - I think Ray said it all. Very nice shot!

Thanks a lot for your feedback.
I regret this compression loss of quality.
You should see that sky in the original photo.
I was really lucky with the light in that day and as it rained a bit before, all the colors are more vivid.
Also lucky that one of my mates had this red blanket in his car, which gave me this idea.
Guess to take some shots you don't need to be a great photographer, you just need to be lucky.

Thanks a lot.
Bas: I call her "Mule", because she kicks like one and has a very strange and unstable sense of humor.
She also has a drinking problem. She should drink water and eat straw like all the other mules!!

Comment by B2O(3/13/2014 12:56:09 PM) - Wonderful Mario. Good to have such a model in windy scenes. You can go with here to Iceland, Greenland or Alaska.....
Gr. Bas

Comment by B2O(3/13/2014 12:53:05 PM) - I thought I saw a great bike.........
Copy the words of Ray, but how do you call your bike? (Tweety:)
Great movement Mario.

Comment by Mario Dias(3/13/2014 8:17:08 AM) - #1 Geordie(Dean Wilson):
Hi Dean
Wild, windy and freezing cold.
I've got a tough model.
Those stairs no longer exist after the last winter storm. Hope they rebuild as this is my favorite beach in the neighborhood.
Cheers

Comment by Geordie (Dean Wilson)(3/13/2014 8:10:41 AM) - Great sense of freedom captured here - looks wild and windy!

Comment by Sreten(3/13/2014 6:13:11 AM) - Beautiful composition, great toning and lovely dramatic mood.

Thank a lot.
Let me introduce to you my new Korean lens.
Samyang 85mm f/1.4 = Euro 256
Believe me, it's a great lens for a ridiculous price when comparing with similar other lens.
Inconvenience: Manual focus.
But I got this shot from a girl jumping in a elastic trampoline.
Guess my lucky day....

There is a button under the Photo Info called my top 10. Click it then go to Manage my top 10. On that new page, drag the photo to where you want to rate it, 1 being the best, 10, the lowest.

Thanks a lot.
Ray, it was in fact a great timing, because the next wave made us run out of that small breakwater completely wet and freezing.
Found out that my D300 is really waterproof.
Cheers

Comment by Zenonas(3/11/2014 10:06:32 AM) - Impressive, effective! Great scene! Love b/w here.

Comment by Mario Dias(3/10/2014 10:12:50 AM) - #7 ORZECHOWSKI(. .): Thanks a lot mate !!

Comment by Mario Dias(3/10/2014 10:12:14 AM) - #6 Koduck: Thanks a lot Koduck, however the motion blur gave quite a lot of work with the model' speed of motion. It's something I wanted in this photo. Didn't work so well in her right arm.
Greetings
