I remember the colored version well and I liked it a lot. The photograph itself is outstanding. So whether desaturated or not the mood is in it as the red umbrella is. However, I would give the colored one my preferences.

44 Thomas Bauer (Just Beggining)   (4/18/2004 11:43:32 AM)
Allot has been said....
So I'll comment before reading them all...
Everyone seems to be hung up on the genre
of the images..
I have had to adjust to this because I am one
who can tell without being told...
So I guess to please those who can't tell
how an image was produced:
We must label them accordingly.
I've found that “Others” no longer belongs in
the genre choices because it's all grey.
All someone has to do is say the image doesn't belong.
Then making it lQQk as if you've done something wrong.
I like this ok, even thou the effect is not new.
“Other” than the umbrella over saturated (imho) a bit,
This is a well presented image, one could see this in nice a Café

55 Terry Forrest (Teresa Forrest)   (4/20/2004 8:10:17 PM)
I went back and looked at the original and I'm afraid I don't see that much difference between the 2 of them, except that it seems like it's cropped closer to the bottom and the red umbrella looks more saturated here. (9)
