title Locks of Lament

detailsAn area of High level bridge Newcastle, just a few steps beyond a large sign imploring anyone in need of serious help to contact The Samaritans.
I am presuming (May be wrong) that these locks are there for remembrance. Its yet another unsolved mystery of a wonderful city.
The area is caged off where anything that falls will hit the Land below. Above the water the area is clear.

I thought long and hard before I took this picture, and even more before I published it here.

The message that comes across is raw and gritty, not everyone's cup of tea but I like it.

Really like the roughness. In eastern Europe they engrave their names in the lock and "lock" their love forever

I don't like it that much grain, to much details are missing, specialy here .

#4 rafal_antoniuk: The whole object was a 'Silent Hill' effect.

Thank you all for stopping by - I did get down to ground level (Wasn't easy) and the same feelings of silence and despair were there too.

A cup of tea but today maybe I wanted coffee... Creative work!

Very interesting and well done image. I think that the way that you handled the scene works very well as it emphasizes the strong graphic quality of the scene. This one is definitely my cup of tea...although it is after 5PM here so perhaps a glass of wine instead. LOL.
