A fine portrait, Wessel. A slight crop from top and left gives a little bias to the right where she is looking, I think. A slight play with curves and desaturating the background puts a bit more emphasis on the model and adds depth to her hair. Only small changes, but see what you think...

Nice portrait Wessel with a different look. Works fine for me with this model. And as most of the times perfect angle.

Really like the edit Tim. Will definite rework the original. About the crop I was thinking the same but most people will say not enough space (after the crop)

#7 Wessel-130766: I am sure that a lot of people would agree with that idea, and if there is more to the right available on the original, I would add to the right and not cut the left side. Just wanted to give the impression of space for her to gaze into!

A beautiful portrait. The girls blick is enigmatic enough to evoke a new Mona Lisa !

Hi Wessel.
I've been having a look trough your gallery and I must say I'm impressed.
No time to comment one by one, as my job takes me 24 hrs by day and 2 hrs by night (hate it, but it's where the currency is coming from).
Picked up this one for comment, as I'm really impressed.
I'm not a portrait expert and somebody once told me that to get a good portrait you have to photograph not the model, but his/her soul.
In my point of view, you achieved it in this portrait, as looking at it, I feel I know the model for a long time and can tell her personality.
For me, this is the most important in photography and don't care about the technical issue, which btw, is great mainly the light.
Already saw some pics taken with cellular phones where the quality was very poor, but the "soul" was there. It's what I most appreciate.
Congrats

Great catch. You have caught the female in the male pose. Foe classical portraiture this image is inverted but works well.
