Gustav I really like this a lot. I like how it softly ends up in the black background (Difficult to explain, hope you understand). I like the simplicity in this. Very nice details, and the colors are just excellent. ~Hanne.

A creatively different look to a dandelion, Gustav. I think I know what Hanne means, in that some of what shows of it in the background does have a softer look to it, which fits well into the overall look of it. I like the close-up of it and the kind of "spiky" look to it. The frame is very complimentary as well. (9)

Haven't ever seen a dandelion portrait so well done and so expressive. Shows that simple things around us make great subjects if one uses the 'photographic' eye!
30 Juergen   (7/10/2002 4:41:15 PM)
A very typical work of a great photographer! Congrats.
31 Kaycee   (7/10/2002 5:34:11 PM)
So delicate and very sensual. I also like the odd dark brown background, rather than the typical black..... it picks up the brown tones in the "flower".... cuz weeds are just unwanted flowers

35 Gary Martin   (7/10/2002 8:38:09 PM)
The detail in this macro shot of a dandelion is superb. I'm very glad you elected to shoot one that had been partially sown. The detail in the attachment of the individual "parasols" and in the center of the blossom is excellent. It stands out so well against the black background. On the whole, this photo is well-deserving of being #1 on the site!
36 rachelbilodeau (Rachel Bilodeau)   (7/10/2002 8:52:30 PM)

This is absolutely brilliant.....but oh s... do I have a problem with sorting digital photography from normal photography on Photoblink !!! Have no clue, and therefor will never again submit my photography taken with my Pentax MZ7 camera. You simply can not compare apples with digital cameras. Does that make sense? I gave this a 9 and sulked about it.
