Exquisite timing, the detail and sharpness is spot on. The movement blur at the wingtips adds alot to this shot. Very well done

17 Greg (Greg Governale)   (7/24/2005 2:13:10 PM)
interesting to look at...nice moment...The image works because of the action....I do wish it was a little sharper....motion blur is a little more than what I like.....Its still a very fine to be proud of! Greg Governale
18 robinschooley (Robin Schooley)   (7/24/2005 2:45:08 PM)
I think Greg's comment sums it up nicely. It's not perfect, but it's damned good. Part skill, part luck... but that is the way with nature & wildlife photography. If this were my image I'd be more than proud to call it my own.
19 Peter Beddek   (7/24/2005 5:09:41 PM)

Facinating behavioral photo, Andy ... the one on the right being the attacker, the other the defender. The more I look at it, the more I like it! :O)

First Class.
32 Itsme (John Hoang)   (7/25/2005 11:25:14 AM)
Very good timing and good pose. Sharpness is fine with me. For this kind of action shot you don't expect to get the same sharpness as with stand still ones.
33 Kris Bass (peter pan is so real ))   (7/25/2005 11:30:34 AM)
Very good timing and nice action shot.

50 Harald Deis   (7/28/2005 4:00:23 PM)
I had to come back for this one. I saw it yesterday, but I didn't have enough time to write a comment.

This shot is really excellent. If it isn't doctored, this is a shot of a lifetime. (Even if it was, it would still be excellent!!)

51 Andy Cooper ( What I SHOULD have done was.....)   (7/29/2005 3:49:58 AM)
Harald #50, has not been doctored, apart from cropping, some minor adjustments
to brightness and contrast, and a touch of USM to compensate for down-sizing.
As to your remark " this is the shot of a lifetime", I have a horrible feeling you may be right !!!!..... might as well give up now ....... I suppose not, I'll just have to start again,
and strive for a better one.

A HUGE "thank you" to all who have commented.
