detailsAnother shot from yesterday's Great North Run. Amazingly, after 13 miles the race developed into a 400 metre sprint finish with the great Mo Farah beating Kigen by less than 1/2 metre and both recording the same time......a record for the race of 1hour 0mins and 0seconds! the race also produced another record, the 1 millionth runner to cross the line since the race began. All runners are sponsored for charity.

hi Dean, I expected some sporting shots from you and I got them! A good capture of a great race, we watched it and others and were exhausted at the end! It is amazing what the human body is capable of isn't it.

#1 bert: Thanks Bert - great to hear from you! I didn't have to go far to see this spectacle as the by-pass runs by the top of my street. The race is also a fun thing and not just for the 'elite' who start their race a little earlier. See example.
