detailsI stood on the cliffs, felt how the heat burned my face and saw how the world around me was melting. On another cliff stood a man dressed in black. And even though he was far away I could hear his words thru the horrible sounds around me, "My work is done, I have won and you were just to weak"

Stunning image with a very nice composition. The colors are what really do it for me. Very vibrant, "hot", and eye-catching. Nice work.
4 Christina Bowker   (3/18/2002 12:53:23 PM)
Beautiful....yet (and no offence please) reminds me of a nightmare I had as a child. I think your title is what made me associate the 2...As vivid the colors in this photo are, is how I remember that dream.

Well Hans I see that Mr. Olson still haunts you. He finally left Florida and has returned to visit your world. Interesting theme that keeps popping up in your shots. Magnificient composition and incredible capture of the works of nature. We are so small yet we think we own the magestic earth, but here we see the earth as it is, dynamic, alive, changing, and etheral. What wonderful colors and what an experience this must have been in the capture. My compliments for a rare image. Bill

Wow spectacular!!! This is awesome...only one nit: you choose to use emboss in PS for your presentation, I wouldn't do that because the black line at the bottem left stands out to much against the lava. (9.5)

I am speechless - reminds me of the image my mother put in my head as a child trying to describe a earthquake. She said, "the surface of the earth splits up and everything then falls in the hole. That image represents that concept for me. Rachel 9
